- yellow watermelon
I just discovered what a yellow watermelon is – thanks to Time Out New York magazine. http://www.timeout.com/newyork/food-drink/yellow-watermelons While I still prefer the texture of regular (red) watermelon, yellow watermelon juice is absolutely delicious!
If the yellow watermelon you buy is not seedless (mine wasn’t), juicing is an easy way to work with it.
- Use a serrated knife to cut the rind of the watermelon.
- Chop the watermelon into pieces that fit the juicer.
- Juice it. Tip: the colder, the better. If the watermelon hadn’t been in the fridge, make sure to add lots of ice to the juice.
You don’t need any additional ingredients. Although if you want a bit of a twist, try blending it with a couple mint leaves. It’s a great way to cool off during the hot summer days!
